Upbeat Workout Music, Volume 12

After quite a lengthy break from putting together any more volumes in my Workout Mix series, I did one last week, and here's yet another: volume 12.

The mix is a continuous music mix which is an hour long, and anyone can download it (the link is near the bottom of this post). This mix is for demo purposes only, and commercial resale or redistribution is not permitted.

Here are Track Listings for Workout Mix #12:

01. Tegan & Sara, "Closer" (Edit).
02. Demi Lovato, "Heart Attack" (Edit).
03. Inna, "Be My Lover" (Edit).
04. Armin Van Buuren feat Trevor Guthrie, "This Is What It Feels Like" (Edit).
05. Sak Noel & Sito Rocks, "Party On My Level" (Edit).
06. Capital Cities, "Safe & Sound" (Edit).
07. Katy B, "5 AM" (Edit).
08. Miley Cyrus, "Wrecking Ball" (Edit).
09. Pitbull & Ke$ha, "Timber" (Edit).
10. 3BallMTY, "Quiero Bailar, All Through the Night" (Edit).
11. Psy, "Gentleman" (Edit).

13. Zedd, "Stay The Night" (Edit).
14. Krewella, "Live For The Night" (Edit).
15. Martin Garrix, "Animals" (Edit).

Note: I didn't list the specific remix versions that I used in this mix. That's because I do a lot of specific editing of my own to each track before I put the mix together, adding extra percussion or melodic elements, and sometimes I combine pieces from two or more remixes for any given track.

To download a 1.5 GB Zip file that includes all of the mixes in DJ Bolivia's workout series, right-click on this link and choose "save target" or "save link":

I have lots of other upbeat electronica mixes available on my DJ website. Admittedly, there aren't too many mixes there [yet] that are exclusively club dance tracks, but there are a lot of house/trance mixes that I find to be pretty good to listen to when I'm going running. Or driving. Or doing any sort of mindless task where I just want some energetic beats to listen to. Most of them are about an hour long, to fit onto a standard CD. Check them out, maybe you'd enjoy some of them? And click here if you're interested in one of my favorites, a massive four-hour mix that I made of classic dance tracks from the late 1990's and early 2000's.

Upbeat Workout Music, Mix #09

As I'm writing this post, on Sunday evening, I'm sitting on a sunny balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm eight floors up, so the traffic going by underneath is pretty easy to hear. And in the past hour, I've heard vehicles go by that were blasting three separate songs that I put onto this mix. I guess that means they're popular.

The mix is a continuous music mix which is an hour long, and anyone can download it (the link is underneath the track listings). This mix is for demo purposes only, and commercial resale or redistribution is not permitted.

Here are Track Listings for Workout Mix #09:

Upbeat Workout Music, Mix #08

I'm DJ'ing at St. Thomas University (Canada) in a couple weeks, and I've been trying to catch up on top40/mainstream music while I'm hanging out in South America right now. And since I'm trying to get caught up on that type of music, I figured that I should make a new Workout Mix. Well, things quickly got out of control. I quickly realized I had enough music for two new mixes, which was fine. No problem. Then, last night, while I was starting to get organized, I discovered that I had already put Workout Mix #08 together, ages ago, but I hadn't ever posted it online! Ridiculous.

I was trying to figure out when I did this, and the best that I can figure is that I might have done it last April? I'm basing that guess upon the tracks that I used, and the fact that if I did make it in April, it would make sense that I forgot about it since May through August is insane for me at work. It's possible that it was done as early as February of last year, but I'm guessing March or April is more likely.

So anyway, this is the old Workout Mix #08. Yes, the music is a bit dated now, but whatever. I listened to it again today and it was a fun-sounding mix, so why not? The only thing that I did before putting it online was to re-mix it slightly, to replace one track that I didn't like. Anyway, I still have two other (newer) workout mixes that I'm ready to release, which I'll post online next week and the week after. I should probably spread them out, instead of putting them all up at the same time.

The mix is a continuous music mix which is an hour long, and anyone can download it (the link is under the track listings). This mix is for demo purposes only, and commercial resale or redistribution is not permitted.

Here are Track Listings for Workout Mix #08:

01. Anjulie, "Brand New Chick."
02. Selena Gomez, "Love You Like A Love Song" (Dave Aude Club Remix).
03. Guinevere, "Crazy Crazy" (Dave Aude Clean Show Mix).
04. Calvin Harris feat Kelis, "Bounce" (Matt Balfe Remix).
05. Jefr Tale, "Start Again" (Anthem Remix).
06. Tom Fall & Jwaydan, "Untouchable" (Paul Keeley Remix).
07. Kaskade feat Mindy Gledhill, "Eyes" (Extended Mix).
08. David Guetta feat Nicki Minaj, "Turn Me On" (Sebastien Drums Remix).
09. Tonite Only, "Haters Gonna Hate" (Nicky Romero Out Of Space Remix).
10. David Guetta feat Sia, "Titanium" (Esquire Remix).
11. Anda Adam, "Panda Madam" (Extended Mix).
12. Destructo feat Oliver, "Technology" (Original Mix).
13. Jennifer Lopez feat Pitbull, "Dance Again" (Gregor Salto Bateria Mix).
14. Breathe Carolina, "Blackout" (Wideboys Club Mix).
15. Avicii feat Flo Rida, "Levels, Good Feeling" (Gordon & Doyle Mashup).
16. Bingo Players, "Cry Just A Little" (Original Mix).

Upbeat Workout Music, Mix #07

I didn't really expect to be putting another Workout Music mix together this quickly after the last one, but I woke up early this morning and I was looking at some of the music charts, and I just felt like I was in the mood to make this mix. A few of the songs are the left-overs from the summer, tracks which I didn't use on Mix #06, but most of these are pretty well-known now, or just coming up the charts.

Upbeat Workout Music, Mix #06

This mix is long overdue. I started to put it together in July, but I got a bit sidetracked. I like to try to use music in these workout mixes that I think is going to become popular a few months down the road. Since I picked out half of these tracks in July, they've already reached (or passed) the point of being pretty popular, but I wanted to use them anyway. At least there are a few tracks in here which I just added in the past week.

I actually had a pretty big list of tracks to choose from for this mix, and had to omit almost as many as I used. That's good, because it means that I'll be able to try to "catch up" the backlog quite soon and put together another workout mix in late November or early December.

I was recently contacted by Chris Lawhorn. If you're not familiar with that name at the moment, he writes for Men's Journal, and has a workout music blog at www.RunHundred.com. I recommend that you check it out when you get the chance. You can sign up for a free monthly email where you'll get a list of suggestions for good workout tunes to check out, as voted upon by blog readers. He also offers a service where you can pick a number of songs and hire him to create your own continuous DJ mix with the specific songs that you've picked, which is pretty innovative.

The mix is an hour long, and anyone can download it (the link is near the bottom of this post). The mix that you can download here doesn't have any personal or radio station promos in it, so it will be great if it's being played in a gym. This mix is for demo purposes only, and commercial resale or redistribution is not permitted.

Here are Track Listings for Workout Mix #06:

01. Roxette, "She's Got Nothing On But The Radio" (Original Mix).
02. Martin Solveig feat Kele, "Ready 2 Go" (Arno Cost Club Mix).
03. Katy Perry, "Last Friday Night" (Original TGIF Mix).
04. David Guetta feat Taio Cruz & Ludacris, "Little Bad Girl" (Club Mix).
05. Mattias & G80s, "We Gonna Play" (Original Mix).
06. Milk & Sugar, "Hia Ma Pata Pata" (Milk & Sugar Club Mix).
07. Basement Jaxx, "Oh My Gosh" (Knee Deep Club Mix).
08. Biboulakis & Nina Zeitlin, "If Only Alarms Didn't Ring" (David Jones Remix).
09. Jessica Sutta, "Show Me" (Ralphi Rosario Club Mix).
10. Benny Benassi & Chris Brown, "Beautiful People" (Cosmic Dawn Club Remix).
11. Sunfreakz & Jeremy Carr, "The Way We Are" (Disco Fries Remix).

13. LMFAO, "Party Rock Anthem."
14. The Wanted, "Glad You Came" (Funk3d Club Remix).
15. Jennifer Lopez, "Papi" (Happy HotDog Club Mix).

Upbeat Workout Music, Mix #05

This one took a few weeks longer than I had hoped to put together. I started picking all the tracks a month ago, when I was driving across Canada for a summer of work in western Canada's silviculture industry, but I've been so busy that I just finally got a chance to finish it early this morning.

The mix is an hour long, and anyone can download it (the link is near the bottom of this post). The mix that you can download here doesn't have any personal or radio station promos in it, so it will be great if it's being played in a gym. This mix is for demo purposes only, and commercial resale or redistribution is not permitted.

Here are Track Listings for Workout Mix #05:

01. Avril Lavigne, "What The Hell" (Mikael Wills Remix).
02. Diddy & Dirty Money, "Coming Home" (Dirty South Club Mix).
03. George Acosta feat Kate Walsh, "Nite Time" (Original Mix).
04. Alexandra Stan, "Mr Saxobeat" (Extended Mix).

13. Tiesto & Mark Knight, "Beautiful World" (Original Club Mix).
14. One Republic, "All The Right Moves" (Dave Aude Club Mix).

Note: If you're trying to track down remixes listed above and they sound different than what you're hearing in this mix, it's because I do a lot of specific editing of my own to each track before I put the mix together, and there is a lot of extra percussion added.

Upbeat Workout Music, Mix #03

The response to the last pair of workout mixes that I posted on my blog has been phenomenal. The mixes have had thousands of downloads in the past twelve weeks. I was going to devote every sixth episode of my weekly radio show to doing these mixes, as an alternative to the progressive house that I usually play on the show. However, to keep people from being confused, I will stick to progressive house for the radio show after this week. However, I'll definitely keep making these workout mixes every six weeks. So you can look forward to the next one coming out in the first week of March.

The mix is an hour long, and anyone can download it (the download link is near the bottom of this post). As implied above, I used the same mix for my "Subterranean Homesick Grooves" radio show this week, to give it a bit of a bigger audience. However, the mix that you can download here doesn't have the radio station promos in it, so it will be better if it's being played in a gym.

Here are Track Listings for Workout Mix #03:

01. Katy Perry, "Firework" (Radio Version).
02. BoB, "Airplanes" (DJQ's Extended Club Edit).
03. Swedish House Mafia, "Miami 2 Ibiza."
04. Santito, "Voices Inside My Head" (Club Mix).
05. Martin Solveig & Dragonette, "Hello" (Club Edit).
06. Kylie Minogue, "Get Outta My Way" (Tommy Love Dream Mix).
07. Tim Berg, "Seek Bromance" (Samnuele Sartini Extended Mix).
08. Kaskade & Adam K, "Raining" (Original Mix).
09. Kaskade, "Fire In Your New Shoes" (Joachim Garraud Vocal Mix).
10. Tiesto vs Diplo, "C'Mon" (Original Version).
11. Robyn, "Indestructible" (Laidback Luke Club Mix).

13. ATB, "Could You Believe" (Original).

The mix is an hour long, and anyone can download it (the link is near the bottom of this post). As implied above, I used the same mix for my "Subterranean Homesick Grooves" radio show this week, to give it a bit of a bigger audience. However, the mix that you can download in the link above doesn't have the radio station promos in it, so it will be better if it's being played in a gym.

Upbeat Workout Music, Mix #01

This week was my roommate Kati's birthday, so I decided to put together a dance music mix, for her to listen to when she goes running. A lot of people listen to other mixes from my website when they're running or working out, but I figured that this time, instead of using house & trance music, I'd use mainstream club dance tracks which are a lot more well known.

The mix is an hour long, and anyone can download it (the download link is near the bottom of this post). I actually used the same mix for my "Subterranean Homesick Grooves" radio show this week, to give it a bit of a bigger audience. However, the mix that you can download in the link above doesn't have the radio station promos in it, so it will be better if it's being played in a gym.

Here are Track Listings for Workout Mix #01:

01. Katy Perry, "Teenage Dream" (Liam Keegan Remix).
02. Dresden & Johnston, "Keep Faith" (Original Club Mix).
03. Afrojack, "Take Over Control" (Original Mix).
04. Kaci Battaglia & Ludacris, "Body Shots" (Dave Aude Club Mix).
05. Robyn, "Dancing On My Own" (Buzz Junkies Club Mix).
06. Hyper Crush, "Keep Up" (Tony Arzadon Remix).
07. Lady Gaga, "Alejandro" (DJ Nejtrino & DJ Baur Radio Mix).
08. Antoine Clamaran, "Gold" (Thomas Gold Remix).
09. La Roux, "Bulletproof" (Dave Aude Club Mix).
10. Stromae, "Alors On Danse" (DJ's From Mars Club Remix).
11. Taio Cruz, "Dynamite" (Mixin' Marc Club Remix).
12. Far East Movement, "Like A G6" (Disco Fries Remix).
13. Duck Sauce, "Barbara Streisand" (O God Remix).
14. Ke$ha, "Take It Off" (Jake Walmsley 2010 Electro Remix).
15. Flo Rida, "Club Can't Handle Me" (David Guetta Remix).

It was pretty fun putting this mix together, since it was a bit of a change from the usual style of my radio shows. This is the type of music that I use when I'm playing club nights around home. I've already decided that I'm going to put together a mix in this style about once every six to eight weeks as a change of pace on the radio show, and I'll post them in this blog as a "workout mix" series. If you like this one, you can look forward to the next one on December 17th.

I have lots more upbeat electronica mixes available on my DJ website.
