DJ Bolivia's Classic Dance Mix

Here's a mix that I've been working on, in bits and pieces, for about two years now. It's a four-hour mix of classic dance tracks from the late 1990's and early 2000's. Many of the tracks were club mega-hits. The majority are house music and what was, at the time, top40 music. A couple (near the end) are more trancy, and were played more at parties than in mainstream clubs. A lot of these tracks bring back some great memories for me, of the period when the club that I was running was having its best years, and when a bunch of my staff and friends used to constantly go to parties together every weekend after work. We'd go to cities all over New Brunswick and Nova Scotia about every second weekend, sometimes not even arriving at the parties until 6am. As Dylan Thomas said, we did not go gentle into that good night. Or as Neil Young put it, it's better to burn out than it is to rust.

As I mentioned, it's taken a long time to put this mix together. I had to talk to a couple dozen of my friends to dig through their memories, so I could come up with a good track listing. I wanted to do a really good job on this one. About half of the tracks in this mix were ones that I picked out myself, and the rest were by suggestion. Once I had a list of songs that I wanted, I had to go through my old music collections to find everything. If you've got a good ear, you'll notice that the sound quality isn't always perfect: some of these songs are straight from vinyl.

This mix can be downloaded as part of an archive of 21 of DJ Bolivia's older mixes, from the following Google Drive link:

The mixes are compressed as a RAR archive, which can be opened natively in Windows.  If you're using a Mac, you can use free utilities to open the RAR (popular examples are "The Unarchiver" and the "UnRarX" app).  The password to open the archive is simply 'bolivia' and the size of the download is 3.2 gigs.  If you have problems downloading this archive from the above Google Drive link, you can email DJ Bolivia at for an alternate download link.
