SHG Radio Show Episode 014

Welcome to this week's edition of Subterranean Homesick Grooves™, a weekly electronica-based radio show presented on CHMA FM 106.9 at Mount Allison University in Atlantic Canada, programmed and mixed by Jonathan Clark (as DJ Bolivia). The show encompasses many sub-genres within the realm of electronic dance music, but the main focus is on progressive and tribal house, and a bit of trance & techno. Liner notes for this episode (014) can be seen below.

Older episodes of the show are not directly available from our main servers anymore, to conserve space for more recent episodes. However, all older episodes have been posted individually on SoundCloud, and also in archives of 25 episodes apiece (convenient for bulk downloading) from DJ Bolivia's Public Dropbox folder. That Dropbox link also has folders for individual tracks and remixes, project files and stem collections for producers who want to make their own remixes, videos, and other material. You don't even need to have a Dropbox account to download files from it.

I recorded this week's show on Thursday night and should have posted it yesterday, but I got distracted and forgot to. I'm in the middle of moving out of my old house and studio space into a new one (in the same town), so I've been pretty busy for the past couple days working on carpentry and other projects to get the studio ready for the move. This is still only into a temporary space while I build a full-scale studio starting this fall, but the temporary space will let me continue my Berklee Music studies, A/V production projects, and SHG Radio Show in the interim.

Getting back to this week's show ...

I've been waiting anxiously for several months for Dave Dresden & Mikael Johnston to finally release their version of "Keep Faith" to the public, since I first got a copy in December. Quite a few mixes were just released this week as an exclusive on Beatport, so you can judge for yourself which mix you enjoy the most. I chose Morgan Page's version for this show. Other than this particular track, I went with an almost entirely non-vocal theme to the show.

That's all for this week. Thanks for tuning in!

Go to the Mix Downloads page on the main DJ Bolivia website if you'd like to check out a number of our older mixes, or visit our SoundCloud page for individual tracks and remixes.
